- The Mozilla Foundation was established in July 2003 as a California not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the public benefit. The Mozilla Corporation was subsequently established in August 2005 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Foundation to coordinate the development and marketing of Mozilla technologies and products. The Mozilla Foundation is guided by the principles of the Mozilla Manifesto. The Mozilla Foundation's view as of March 2007 as to how it can advance the Mozilla Manifesto is set out in its Statement of Direction.
