Think of Best Freeware as a free, public service. If you are looking for a program, and think that maybe there is a free version, you can do some searching on the Internet and find page after page of people saying that their free software is the best.
Or perhaps you go to another freeware site looking for a particular program but find that they list several different programs, some which are good, but others which are useless. How do you know which is worth downloading and which is a waste of time?
You have several options:
- You can download, install, try, then uninstall program after program until you find the one that you think is ok.
- You can ask on a forum or message board and get a different answer for almost as many replies.
- Or, you can come here, and just download a program that has been tried and tested for you.
